Our solutions

PFAS Sensors

Monitoring water bodies (river upstream and seas), including drinking water, and wastewater.

For whom?
Industry (waste water treatments plant, pharma, military, avio), environmental protection agencies, public health authorities, residential water monitoring.
PFAS sensors represents state-of-the-art detection of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).  PFAS SPE
  • Electrochemical PFAS sensors based on screen-printed graphene electrodes combined with a silver/silver chloride reference electrode with sensitivity of 1μg per liter.
  • Designed for rapid, low-cost detection of PFAS compounds like PFOA, these sensors operate efficiently with small water samples, providing reliable results with high sensitivity.
  • The integrated potentiostat processes the electrochemical signals, while the embedded communications module allows remote data transmission and real-time monitoring.
Our solutions

Environment monitoring

Next generation sensors and IoT systems. Our offerings include air quality sensors that detect and analyse a spectrum of atmospheric pollutants, precision instruments for assessing soil health, and sophisticated water quality sensors for evaluating aquatic ecosystems. Additionally, our specialised PFAS sensors provide crucial detection capabilities for these persistent environmental contaminants, ensuring your ability to respond to and manage potential health risks effectively. By integrating these technologies with Blockchain we deliver actionable insights that drive environmental decision-making and policy development.

ZenBox Air quality sensor set

Comprehensive air quality analysis with an array of detection capabilities (PM1, PM2.5, PM10, NO2, CO, CO2, SO2, as well as environmental parameters like temperature, humidity, and pressure).
  •   Wide spectrum of particulate matter (PM1, PM2.5, PM10) and harmful gases (NO2, CO, CO2, SO2). This allows for a detailed analysis of air quality, providing valuable insights into the levels of pollutants that can affect human health and environmental quality.
  • Real-Time Data and Flexible Reporting: With configurable data reporting intervals ranging from 1 to 20 minutes.
  • Robust Connectivity and Portability: lightweight design (under 1kg) and multiple connectivity options, including 3G/4G and WiFi, make it an ideal choice for on-the-go monitoring in various locations.

CLIMOS: Surveillance microclimate monitoring in 10 European countries

CLIMOS – Climate Monitoring and Decision Support Framework for Sand Fly-Borne Diseases Detection and Mitigation with Cost-Benefit and Climate-Policy Measures aims to conduct innovative and applied research seeking to better prepare for current and future impacts of climate and environmental changes on human and animal health. Sand flies and the multiple diseases they transmit serve as a model system.

Zentrix has setup a surveillance network in 10 countries where devices are deploy for collection of microclimate datasets including: Portugal, Turkey, Spain, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Israel, Austria, France, Serbia.

Monitoring and remediation of Mediterranean from chemical pollution

Zentrix  develop a sensing framework for environmental monitoring of persistent PFAS chemicals. This offers an unprecedented and convenient way to accurately detect miniscule amounts of PFAS in water, on- site, and in real time.

This offers an unprecedented and convenient way to accurately detect miniscule amounts of PFAS in water, on- site, and in real time. This work has been funded by European Comission under grants iMERMAID and E-SPFDIGIT to produce devices equipped with sensors and connectivity interfaces that will enable fast and point-of-use measurement data.

Electrochemical sensors are used as promising alternatives in terms of accuracy and sensitivity for the screening of different molecules in complex matrices. Advantages in using these systems consist in simplicity of use, portability and possibility of on-line and on-site monitoring, without tedious sample pre- treatments and low costs. Zentrix develop new analytical methods and tools for understanding and managing the PFAS risk in the environment. Further to this, iMERMAID project also evaluates clean-up approaches and develops guidance to facilitate clean-up of contaminated groundwater. Zentrix produce devices equipped with sensors and connectivity interfaces that enable fast and point-of-use measurement data.
